Sulfur, the human body’s fourth most abundant mineral, cannot be naturally stored within the body. We therefore rely upon our ability to consume enough sulfur within our daily diet to keep us healthy. Sulfur is integral to many processes within the body as it helps in amino acid production, giving proteins their shape and oxygen transport across cell membranes, all fundamental mechanisms within the physiology of the human body. Sulfur is essential for a healthy body and is now known for providing many benefits, most notably for its ability to support overall joint and cartilage health. Other benefits identified in research include enhanced energy levels, reduction of allergy symptoms as well as providing healthier skin, hair and nails.
Within joints, sulfur can help to strengthen the tissues that make up joints, making it very important to overall joint health and recovery. More scientifically, research has shown that cartilage and joint integrity is a sulfur-dependent state as certain molecules within joints are linked between two sulfur atoms. Research has shown that as we age, the sulfur content of cartilage decreases which appears to correlate with the degeneration of overall joint health, often times called arthritis.
Furthermore, one study has shown that MSM Organic Sulfur supplementation resulted in a 33% decrease in pain, as well as improvements in joint mobility, swelling, global evaluation, and walking time. It's also thought to have anti-inflammatory properties without some of the dangerous side effects NSAIDs may present with such as increased risk of stroke, heart attack, or gastrointestinal bleeding.
An additional study showed significant reduction in pain as measured by the Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index visual analogue scale (WOMAC), an outcome measure commonly used in rehabilitation clinics treating arthritis pain.
MSM Organic Sulfur improves recovery from exercise; if utilized correctly, this allows for faster physical gains by limiting time off. By improving blood circulation through dilating blood vessels naturally, oxygen transport to cells is increased, speeding recovery and health.
A preliminary study found that MSM Organic Sulfur supplementation helped reduce symptoms in people clinically diagnosed with allergies. Moreover, there have not been any reported cases of allergic reactions to organic sulfur in medical literature.
Studies suggest that MSM Organic Sulfur may play a vital role in maximizing skin care by providing support for the structural integrity of skin, improving its firmness and elasticity which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
MSM Organic Sulfur is a rich source of sulfur—a key component of both collagen and keratin. Collagen is the foundation of our skin, making up 70% of its dry weight. Likewise, keratin is the vital structural component of both hair and nails. Without proper supplementation, advanced aging may occur.

Studies suggest that MSM Organic Sulfur may play a vital role in maximizing skin care by providing support for the the structural integrity of skin and by helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Our skin is a living organ that's put under considerable stress as a result of our diet, lifestyle, environment, and even just plain old aging. You will notice that as we age, there is a breakdown in the connective tissue of our skin leading to thin and fragile skin. This connective tissue is primarily made up of collagen.

Since MSM Organic Sulfur is high in sulfur content, it helps to maintain strong collagen bonds increasing our skin's elasticity (ability to deform and retake shape) via enhanced connective tissue strength. Furthermore, our product is crucial for the development of the antioxidant Glutathione, and has been shown to increase Glutathione levels. Glutathione helps to bond free radicals that may be present after exposure to ultraviolet rays (the sun).
Great news! MSM Organic Sulfur can help you breathe with ease!
A study of participants who consumed MSM Organic Sulfur Crystals for 30 days has found that after the first week of use, the frequency with which participants had suffered upper respiratory symptoms was significantly better. Furthermore, by the third week of supplementation, the same participants also had significantly better lower respiratory symptoms. It should also be noted that by day 14, energy levels had also improved. The best part? Minimal side effects were reported during trial.
Would you like to experience less respiratory distress with minimal side effects? Our Pure MSM Organic Sulfur Supplement is for you!
A recent study, The Effect of Methylsulfonylmethane on Osteoarthritic Large Joints and Mobility, has linked the use of MSM Organic Sulfur Crystals with significant decreases in arthritic pain and stiffness.
Participants utilized 3 grams of MSM Organic Sulfur Crystals twice per day for a total of 6 grams per day. The study length was 26 weeks.
The study tracked how MSM Organic Sulfur supplementation affected the Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index, a questionnaire commonly used by healthcare professionals to track the symptoms of arthritic conditions.
The results at 26 weeks in the MSM Organic Sulfur Crystal supplementation group were significantly better when compared to the placebo group for all subscales (pain, stiffness, physical function and total symptoms). Changes in the Placebo group were minor at the 26 week follow-up with the difference between the two groups being statistically significant in all subscales.
Brand new research presented Sunday, August 30th, 2015, at the European Society of Cardiology congress is gathering some very exciting attention across the world. Researchers from Saarland University in Germany introduced a group of individuals to an exercise program. The results suggest that as little as 25 minutes of exercise per day could add three to seven years to your life! They noted that exercise (specifically endurance and high intensity exercises such as brisk walking or slow jogging) seemed to help trigger an anti-aging effect through DNA repair.
This seems to be just another example of how exercise can significantly improve your life. After all, we already know exercise can improve cognitive function, act as an anti-depressant, decrease heart attack and stroke risk, as well as provide many other benefits to our body and mind.
Cancer. The word alone is scary enough. The National Cancer Institute reports lifetime risk of developing any type of cancer at the frightening high level of 39.6%. Four out of ten people will be diagnosis. Even worse, they calculate that there is only 66.5% of those individuals who will survive to the 5 year point. These statistics are all around terrifying, but emerging research is shining light onto an area of health often overlooked for these patients (and potentially future patients).
Physical activity. Yes, exercise is quickly gaining hoping as a way to not only help survival rate, but also to possibly even decrease risk of ever developing cancer. Furthermore, it also seems that those undergoing medical treatment can also decrease some of the negative consequences commonly experienced as side effects.
To elaborate on these statements I'd like to highlight some of the new studies I excitedly referenced earlier.
This study supports the value of exercise during the early stages of adjuvant treatment for breast cancer. The researchers say that a combination of strength and aerobic training not only reduces fatigue, but helps patients actually increase muscle fitness during the first 18 weeks of treatment.
The Washington Post published an article about studies such as this one about performing exercise before treatment for colorectal cancer. The results suggest that patients who performed the interventions before surgery did better in the long run.
This study suggests that overall quality of life in cancer survivors may be better in those who perform regular exercise.
Returning to the National Cancer Institute's website, will allow you to see more published data on just how effective exercise can be on a multitude of cancer types.
Finally, some of the most exciting up and coming research I've read is this. Now, I realize this initial study was performed on mice, but the results could be beginning of some amazing studies down the road. This study shows that those mice who performed aerobic exercise not only had slower breast cancer tumor growth, but it also made the cancer more sensitive to chemotherapy! These results raise the possibility that physical activity may not only slow tumor growth, but it may change the structure of these tumors to be easier to treat! If that's not exciting, I don't know what is.
Wishing you all good health.
A review published in the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy reports that, "The large evidence of high-quality trials supports the effectiveness of home exercise programs with and without supervised clinic-based exercises in the rehabilitation of knee OA."
The fact that this review has found large amounts of high-quality trials supporting exercises such as those found here, is no surprise. In fact, exercise continues to be an essential part of clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of arthritic conditions as well as many other health conditions as well. Seeing as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that as many as 1 in 2 people in the United States may develop knee arthritis by age 85, the importance of an effective home program cannot be overlooked. That statistic is very scary! I mean, just look around, chances are either you, or the first person you see may develop knee arthritis, and that doesn't even take into account the other joints of our bodies. Active lifestyles help keep our bodies going, so please check out some of the exercises commonly seen in home exercise programs such as those mentioned in the post.
In addition, try some Organic Sulfur, a natural supplement that's been shown to support overall joint health.
A new study published in Arthritis Care & Research, could have a huge impact on those individuals who are trying to prevent degeneration of their knees. According to the study, patient-reported pain during stair navigation can often be linked to developing knee arthritis BEFORE degeneration is displayed on diagnostic imaging, such as x-ray. Meaning just because your doctors hasn't seen arthritis with an x-ray, that doesn't mean it isn't coming.
This study, which uses data from over 4,700 individuals, shows that pain with stairs is most likely to be the first symptom reported in people who ultimately had confirmed knee arthritis. Furthermore, using pain during stairs as a screen, it may help to identify those people who could benefit from early interventions to delay or prevent the development of knee arthritis.
Do you have pain with going up, or more specifically down stairs? If so, this study should speak volumes to you.
Exercises have been proven to help with arthritis pain and are consistently considered one of the main staples of treatment in practice guidelines.
Also, pure MSM Organic Sulfur may improve overall joint health and has been shown to be safe for use. One study has even shown a 33% reduction in pain simply by using it.
