Pure MSM Organic Sulfur Crystals

As Organic Sulfur (also known as MSMcontinues to gain more and more popularity for the great health benefits it provides, potential customers continue to contact us to ask about potential side effects.

We have many customers with diverse backgrounds and lifestyles. Fortunately, our MSM Organic Sulfur is very pure and manufactured under strict guidelines allowing it to be consumed by all these users. Our product is gluten-free, allergen-free (including shellfish), vegan safe, kosher and halal, non-GMO derived, and Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

A lack of MSM side effects, but what to watch for

In addition to health benefits being well-documented and repeatedly studied, the relative lack of side effects makes MSM Organic Sulfur very safe for consumption by both humans and animals. At this time, there is no medically documented interactions between this product and pharmaceuticals, herbs, vitamins or minerals.

Importantly, there has been no identified toxicity, even with the ingestion of Organic Sulfur of up to 30 grams per day (about 15 teaspoons). This is obviously an obscene number since most studies have been completed with users taking 3 to 6 grams per day (5 to 10 times less than the 30 grams). This lack of toxicity is something medications like acetaminophen and ibuprofen can't say due to their serious side effects with overdosage, such as stroke or liver damage.

Despite being free of reported allergic reactions, new users may experience one of the extremely rare and minor side effects such as loose stools, upset stomach, skin rashes, and minor headaches. These conditions typically disappear immediately upon stopping or varying supplementation dosage. Rest assured, many users utilize our MSM Organic Sulfur in high dosages to reap the benefits of supplementation, without adverse affects.

MSM Side Effects

We have had customers specifically ask if supplementation has any known effect on insulin or blood sugar. While our body's sulfur content is an important piece for amino acid and hormone creation, the developmental and regulatory pathways are extremely complex and it does not appear to influence one or the other. In addition, no medical literature has been published to demonstrate MSM Organic Sulfur influences these effects.

Although medical literature does not report any instances of heavier menses with MSM supplementation, there have been several customers that have reported such. For that reason, we encourage individuals who are taking blood-thinning medication to consult with their primary healthcare provider.

Finally, to our knowledge there have been no reported adverse effects during pregnancy or breast-feeding, but we also encourage those individuals to discuss supplementation with their primary healthcare provider.

Ultimately, Organic Sulfur supplementation is very safe with minimal and minor side effects. However, the purity of your MSM Organic Sulfur supplement matters! As long as you select a trusted, high-purity product, you too can enjoy the many benefits of Organic Sulfur

So sorry to hear about your difficult situation Kim. You are correct that Organic Sulfur and sulfa drugs are not the same thing. Feel free to have a discussion about it with your primary care provider or pharmacist. Also, have you considered asking for your mother to go back to physical therapy? It sounds like she did great with it, maybe she needs another few sessions to turn things around. We’ll be thinking of you and your family!

My mother is 79 yrs old. She suffers from osteoarthritis pretty much all over her body. She had neck surgery back in June of this year. After physical therapy, she seemed to being doing great. She was taking Tramadol and Arthritis Tylenol. Her doctor told her she had to stop taking her arthritis medicine for 3 months after the surgery. She began taking it a couple of weeks ago and she seems to be getting worse. She has been walking with a walker or riding in a wheelchair. This problem started back in March of this year when both of her hands went numb. Things went down hill from there. She seems to be getting worse instead of better. We have someone with her 24/7. She is allergic to sulfa, which she found out when she had a bladder infection. Her tongue and lips were swollen. I have read that the organic sulfur is not the same thing. Her Dr. told her that she would only get worse with her condition. My Mom was so active 6 months ago. She was living by herself. Driving and doing everything for herself. Now she can’t even dress herself or get in and out of the bed by herself. I am looking for answers and want to do whatever I can to help her.
